Euro 2024: Slovenia could be the ‘dark horse’ of the tournament

Slovenia is ready to surprise at Euro 2024. Under the leadership of coach Matjaz Kek, the Slovenian team is aiming for a successful Euro season. Despite not having outstanding achievements at the Euro or World Cup, Slovenia is currently ranked 55th on the FIFA rankings. Their current squad includes players from many different clubs worldwide, from APOEL Nikosia to Atlético Madrid.

In particular, in their squad is Jan Oblak, one of the world’s top goalkeepers, playing for Atlético Madrid. Besides that, the defenders squad includes players from clubs in various countries, from Alanyaspor to Spartak Trnava. Midfielders and strikers are no less competitive with the participation of players from Udinese Calcio, Panathinaikos Athen and RB Leipzig.

With a quality squad and the leadership of coach Kek, Slovenia will definitely be a formidable opponent at Euro 2024.
